Ingersoll Rand and Gardner Denver receive unconditional clearance from the European Commission
On January 30, 2020, Ingersoll Rand and Gardner Denver received unconditional clearance from the European Commission with respect to the proposed combination of the Industrials business segment of Ingersoll Rand with Gardner Denver after a Phase I review. Prior to that, regulatory approval had been granted in all other jurisdictions where the merger was notified, including in the US, China, Russia, Turkey and Mexico. The Parties manufacture and market air and gas compressors, blowers and vacuum pumps for a range of industrial applications, amongst other types of equipment. CRA provided economic assistance with regards to the merger filings in the EU, China, Russia, Turkey and Mexico, assessing the horizontal overlap as well as conglomerate effects.
