Intern (2024 Start)

We are looking to recruit interns for our Brussels office. We are accepting applications from candidates studying economics at either Master or PhD/DPhil level. Candidates should have a strong foundation in microeconomics, preferably with a specialisation in industrial economics and/or econometrics. A high degree of numeracy, a strong writing ability, some research experience and the ability to manipulate data are essential. Our internship will mirror our full-time Analyst role (see below). You will work closely with senior staff on projects across a variety of industries. Tasks will be both varied and interesting and will give the participant a greater understanding of what it is like to work as an economist at CRA.

Analyst (2025 Start)

We have a limited number of positions for applicants with a strong undergraduate degree in economics, but no further qualifications.

Candidates should have (or expect to obtain) a good first degree in economics and a strong background in microeconomics, preferably with a particular interest in industrial economics. Numeracy and the ability to manipulate data and write clearly are also important. Candidates should be able to demonstrate the personal qualities that make a successful consultant.

The position is ideally suited to a candidate considering post-graduate study, but who would appreciate 1-2 year's employment experience and an insight into the world of economic consulting before returning to university for a postgraduate qualification.

Consulting Associate (2025 Start)

The Consulting Associate position - this is the standard entry-level position for applicants with a postgraduate qualification in economics, but little or no relevant experience.

Candidates for these positions must have (or expect to obtain) a good first degree in economics and a postgraduate qualification (MSc/MPhil) in economics from well-regarded institutions graduating between December 2024 and August 2025. They should have a strong foundation in microeconomics, ideally with a specialism in industrial economics although not essential. The candidate must be able to demonstrate the personal qualities that make a successful consultant. A high degree of numeracy and some comfort with data manipulation is essential, and familiarity with econometric techniques would also be an advantage.

Consulting Associate/Senior Associate

We are currently recruiting economists at the Consulting Associate and Senior Associate level for our Brussels office. Candidates must hold a postgraduate qualification (Master or PhD) in economics from well-regarded institutions. They should have a strong foundation in microeconomics, preferably with a specialization in industrial organisation, applied microeconomics or econometrics, and be able to demonstrate the personal qualities that make a successful consultant. Candidates at the Senior Associate level should have several years of relevant experience in consulting, business or with a competition authority.

Consulting Associate/Senior Associate

Senior Associate

We are currently recruiting German-speaking economists at the Senior Associate level for our Munich office.

We are interested in hearing from PhD candidates as well as experienced Consultants who have prior consulting and competition policy experience.

Candidates, will be expected to rapidly take on genuine responsibility, assisting Vice Presidents and other senior staff by providing conceptual and practical input to competition case work as required. The role brings with it the possibility of working on some of the largest and most significant competition cases in Europe, playing a key role in the shaping of the cases.

Consulting Associate/Senior Associate (Immediate Hire)

We currently have a need for French speaking Consultants to be part of our Competition practice. They should have a strong foundation in microeconomics, preferably with a specialization in industrial organisation, applied microeconomics or econometrics, and be able to demonstrate the personal qualities that make a successful consultant. Candidates at the Associate Principal or Principal level should have several years of relevant experience in consulting, business or with a competition authority.

Senior candidates should be able to demonstrate an ability to manage more junior colleagues and to have extensive client contact at an early stage.

Associate Principal/Principal

Applicants for senior positions should have extensive and relevant experience preferably in economic/antitrust consultancy, as well as a strong academic background in economics. We are always interested in applications from candidates who have relevant experience and might therefore be suitable for a more senior position within us. The basic prerequisites for such candidates are the same as for entry-level positions, in that a strong academic background in economics is essential. However, candidates should also have professional experience in economic consultancy, competition/regulatory authorities, or other employment with relevance to our areas of work. Senior candidates should be able to demonstrate an ability to manage more junior colleagues and to have extensive client contact at an early stage.
