CMA clears NCR’s acquisition of Cardtronics

On 10 August, 2021 the CMA unconditionally cleared NCR’s $2.5bn acquisition of Cardtronics after a Phase I review. NCR sells ATM hardware, software and related maintenance services, as well as self-checkout machines and point-of-sale terminals, amongst other products and services. Cardtronics operates as an ATM deployer in the UK and elsewhere.

A CRA team including Oliver Latham, Mikaël Hervé, Nitika Bagaria, Dustin Walpert, and Emilie Bartels advised NCR during the merger proceedings in the UK. A CRA team also advised NCR during the merger proceedings in the US.
