ASSA ABLOY Limited / Arran Isle Limited
On 11th April 2022, the CMA cleared the anticipated acquisition by ASSA ABLOY Limited of Arran Isle Limited following a Phase I review. The Parties overlap in the manufacturing of door and window architectural hardware in the UK and Ireland. In addition, Arran Isle is active at the distribution level. Following its investigation, the CMA found no evidence that the merger would lead to a substantial lessening of competition as a result of horizontal, vertical or conglomerate effects.
A CRA team including Matthew Bennett, Muath Masri, Mauricio Chikitani and Caspar Mueller supported ASSA ABLOY and their counsel Allen & Overy through the transaction.
