Andromeda/Nireus/Selonda
On 15th February 2019 the European Commission approved the merger of Andromeda, Nireus and Selonda, the three largest farmers of Mediterranean fish (primarily sea bream and seabass) in the Mediterranean, subject to divestments. The merger created overlaps in relation to the production and supply of both Mediterranean farmed fish and of fry (which are supplied to smaller fish farmers).
A CRA team including Diana Jackson, Tara Mampilly and Pablo Olmos assisted the parties with analysis of geographic and product market definition and in the design of remedies.
