
Carlos Akkar
Senior Associate
Dr. Carlos Akkar is a Senior Associate in the European Competition Practice of CRA. He is based in London.
Before he joined CRA in 2025, Carlos completed a PhD in Economics at the University of Oxford. His research focused on microeconomic theory, particularly information economics and mechanism design, with applications to financial markets, education markets, and committee decision-making. He presented his work at major academic conferences, including the 2024 North American and European Summer Meetings of the Econometric Society.
During his doctoral studies, Carlos taught graduate-level microeconomic theory and undergraduate-level econometrics to students at the University of Oxford. His teaching was recognised with a Departmental Award for Excellence in Graduate Teaching.
