ACM imposes media plurality remedy on DPG-RTL Nederland merger
Raphaël De Coninck
The Netherlands Authority for Consumers and Markets (ACM) has cleared the acquisition of RTL Nederland by DPG Media, subject to remedies.
According to the ACM, those remedies are intended to maintain the structural and editorial independence of DPG and RTL’s different news websites, and to ensure that the parties’ free online news websites will continue to operate without paywalls.
A CRA team—including Raphaël De Coninck, Maxwell Andersen, Emilie Bartels, Hazal Sezer, and David Meijer—assisted a third party during the proceedings.
More information is available on the ACM’s website.
