Hazal Sezer
Senior Associate
Hazal Sezer is a Senior Associate in the European Competition Practice at Charles River Associates, based in Brussels. Since joining CRA in 2024, she has worked on mergers and abuse of dominance cases across a range of industries.
Prior to joining CRA, Dr. Sezer completed her Ph.D. in Economics at Tilburg University in the Netherlands. Her research employs applied microeconomics, causal inference, and structural/general-equilibrium modelling.
During her Ph.D., she visited Harvard University and Massachusetts Institute of Technology. She has presented her work widely, including at the National Bureau of Economic Research (NBER) Summer Institute, the Econometric Society’s North American Summer Meeting (NASM) and European Winter Meeting, and the IZA Institute of Labor Economics.
Her working languages are English, Turkish, and Dutch.
