Global CRA Competition team advises Boeing on its acquisition of Spirit Aerosystems

On 8 December 2025, Boeing closed its acquisition of Spirit Aerosystems.

The closing follows a consent order from the FTC issued on 3 December, as well clearances by the UK Competition and Markets Authority on 8 August 2025 and by the European Commission on 14 October 2025, conditional on full compliance with the commitments offered by the Parties. The transaction was also reviewed and cleared in Morocco, Saudi Arabia and Ukraine.

A global CRA team advised Boeing with submissions made to competition authorities globally. Dr. Elizabeth Bailey and Matt List provided economic and regulatory support to Boeing before the US FTC. Dr. Matteo Foschi, Dr. Oliver Latham, Michael Muehlbradt, Marissa Li, Sueda Uludag, Lorenzo Comito and Karim Zaghloul provided economic and regulatory support to Boeing before the European Commission, UK CMA and agencies in Morocco, Saudi Arabia and Ukraine.
