Miguel Blanco Cocho

Miguel Blanco Cocho is a Senior Associate in the European Competition Practice at Charles River Associates, based in Brussels. He earned a PhD in Economics from the European University Institute in Florence in June 2026. His doctoral research focused on the incidence of taxes and subsidies in oligopolistic markets, with a particular emphasis on the airline industry.

Miguel has expertise in both empirical and theoretical approaches to economic analysis and is proficient in R and Stata. Before joining CRA, he worked as a research and teaching assistant at the European University Institute, New York University (NYU), and Sciences Po. He also contributed a chapter to the policy book Reforms to Boost Competition in Spain.

Miguel is fluent in English, Spanish, and Italian, and has a working knowledge of French.
